I can’t believe it’s actually happening! It’s really amazing how time flies! Back in February when we first booked our tickets, it felt like this day would never come. And despite the fact that we’ve been talking about it nonstop for months, it still seemed like some distant idea. But here we are now, mere days away from what promises to be one of the most amazing trips of our lives. And I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Until then, I thought I would leave you with a few highlights from my last hop across the Atlantic. I had the pleasure of visiting Greece last fall, and it was absolutely amazing! The term ‘breathtaking’ didn’t even do it justice.
It’s funny, the more I see of the world, the stronger the realization becomes that there is so much left to experience! My bucket list continues to grow at an alarming rate, but unfortunately my vacation time and disposable income do not. So, I guess I’ll just work with what I have. But seriously, I am really dying to see New Zealand. And Croatia. And Ireland. And Paris. And a million other places.
Anyways! This is where I was last year!
The cape of Sounion had the most spectacular sunset I’ve ever had the chance to experience. And the Temple of Poseidon made me feel like I was in an actual history book!
This was like the unofficial street food of Greece. And absolutely delicious! I’ve yet to find anything of similar quality in the Boston area.
Meteora was pretty spectacular. There are monasteries..built on rock pillars! Don’t base your opinion on my photo, it was taken using an iPhone 4.
If there’s any structure that symbolizes ancient Greek civilization, I really think the Acropolis and Parthenon would be it. I mean, look at it!!
If you manage to make it all the way to the top, you’re in for some amazing views of the city of Athens!
And just because I love sunsets and nautical things – the sunset at the harbor! This is where you would catch a ferry should you wish to island hop (I’ll be back..Santorini remains on my bucket list).
I’m practically bouncing off the walls with excitement thinking as I picture some of the sights that Iceland has to offer. Have you been somewhere exciting recently or planning a trip somewhere amazing? I’d love to hear about it!

Beautiful pictures! I agree it’s tough to find good gyros around here…and now I’m craving one lol
Thanks dude! Do let me know if you find something comparable 🙂
